8.7.02 a happy youth day to all... and yesh, even to those who didn't get to enjoy a school holiday today :Pfirst news of the day was quite expected - a few have yet to even start writing their terror essays which was due 2pm today. good thing nauwroz called everyone to check on each other early in the morning, else tristan would get analed first thing in the afternoon. some actually brought along their 1-tonne laptops just for this purpose... and realised that the school's printer feeder was jammed and they were instructed to hand it up tomorrow instead.. i'm so proud of myself for being able to comprehend least half of what was being spluttered during writcomm lecture today! i even managed to realise why Daniil Kharms is such a genius despite having written mundane + silly poems/15-line sonnets! *pats self on back* the audience managed to suan mr kon when identifying nouns, verbs, adjectives, prepositions etc. etc. as well: (written on projector screen: 'fat potato growing larger but shrinking underneath'. rather telling....) oh yeah, majorly confused by chin boo the audiotech dude, during lecture, as ever. 'phantom power' is something i'm still trying to grasp for the past 15 days :P met up with joe again for dinner + F355. the latter was some sort of 'practice session' for wednesday's planned karting at jurong kartworld. richard would be coming along to show us his GTA(grand theft auto..)-inspired skillz. was stopped by some business-ly dressed people at the entrance of the arcade. almost farted when they mentioned this $5-for-the-entire-day promotion... apparently the company found youth day a great excuse to fill their entire arcade with a blockade of para-para dancers, daytona chiong-sters + daytona chiongsters who know nothing about braking in F355. what the hey, once those dense-headed little bengs left out beloved machines unattended, it would be ours till closing time. we did just that >:) joe & i were so intrigued by such a prospect, we tapped our 'tapz' cards like there was no tomorrow. (muhahahahahahahahahahahahaha~! my arse is in already place, none else shalt sit on it till tomorrow!) since those head-to-head races were only a maximum of 3 laps long, we did time trials. where they'd ask you to add some more credits for more time and more laps. no prizes for guessing how many 'credits' we topped up. (beginning to get a little uncomfy in the uncushioned seat by then..) (self trying to concentrate and hold my bladder together for the next hour) (1st pit stop of the trials - 67 minutes in total) (check out the remaining time on top... people behind us waiting to play were beginning to get pissed by then >:) we couldn't really keep check on the time through our escapade, but i did notice that we had been driving for at least 85 minutes by the time (9.59pm or so..) the staff decided to flick the power switches off for the entire arcade. i was getting afraid that economy class syndrome would come to strike us any moment while playing, but alas, the organisers didn't want to ferry seizure patients to mount alvernia should they close at 12am. i did go through economy class experiences of a different kind: (steam si bo?) ah yes, they had to stamp us zombies on the hand before we could enter. i'd say that was $5 well spent :) (joe's seal of approval - hope it'd stay there till next year so we'd save a further $5...) kan't wait to kart this koming wednesday. vaarooom! 0 Comments: |
