made a conscious effort to cook dinner for the family in the afternoon, since i've got loads of time to spare (i actually said that?) today. mom has recently been making noise about how much time i'm spending out of the house, how late i've been returning at night, how seldom she's been able to see me, blahblahblahblahblaaaargh. so i guess 'dis a method to make it up for everyone. food is such a nice thing in physical, psychological and who-knows-what contexts, no?
the meal itself was so-so. only gripe i have right now is that those chopped yellow thingies which i removed out of the fridge weren't garlic - they were *ginger*. i love garlic to death, and hence threw a deadly amount of ginger into the pan. goodness. imagine a spaghetti dish - with spaghetti, pepper chicken sausages, pork chipolata, oriental pork sausages, and ginger + ground pepper to nicely top it all off. somehow picked shark's fin soup with ginseng (that sticky liquid in the foreground) instead of ghey Campbell's. tastes awesome, especially when you got to wash down the awful concoction of ginger and cream :P
looks like my days of food + nutrition in sec 3 and 4 are still not fading fast. yet!
photography tutorial tomorrow - looking forward to it with a sense of glee. the pictures rich and i took over the weekend (theme: safety) would be developed into slides. one lesson we learnt from this mini-assignment was that safety and defiance are quite interrelated.
