(remember me?)

strewth! that was a horrible extraction as expected - thank goodness it's my last. free at last, thank god almighty, i is free at last!!
thanks to all who flooded my mailbox with supportive smses and having my thoughts on mailbox management instead of the beckoning dental horror..
left the literally bloody tooth with my dentist for use as future sample (or deterrent, for that matter). she said i'm one of 5% in the population to have triple-rooted pre-molars. and i *had* to have them removed. that's some painful individuality for you..

i guess it's back to the days when i crammed a lifetime's supply of panadol into my bag. they say too much panadol at once makes it more difficult to feel its effects the next time round. trust me, they aren't trying to break your leg there. *koff*

spent the entire day trying to concentrate on writcomm thesis and summary. and maintaining a safe distance from the paperwork lest i drool blood all over it. felt sane enough to meet up with ana, angie, cheeyong, danny, lester + richard at school later in the day. poor danny - his summary was mercilessly + sadistically *koff* i mean, accidentally destroyed by rich before my arrival. oh dear. now rich is indebted to danny with a lifetime's supply of inner thigh rubs & back caresses. all the best, blackman.
4 parts to the summary - was sweating over part C when i was opportunely informed that the deadline had been postponed from thursday noon to saturday. bleh.

anyhoo, i've uploaded the pictures for the mini SMSA auto trials, which saw richard's mates jai and mark (luke's bro) abusing their rented nissan march. learnt quite a lot from the visit. fuelled my ambition to have international motorsport being introduced in soccer-rabid; waste-too-much-land-on-golf singapore.
will be uploading half the number pics for now.

(oooh, classic cars at the (really small) venue! something to look forward to.. being the ahpek inspiree i am)

(interior of some fugly classic car shaped like a whale)

(aaah! 60s mini's! steaaaam!!)

(mark's mom was there too - wish my mom were *that* supportive.)

(suicidal mechanic frantically tries to remove his hand out of the whale-car's jaws. he was a brave man...)

(one of the first few march's in action when i arrived at carpark B.)

(the only sedan for the entire event - and rightfully so... even gilles villeneuve inside wouldn't be able to beat the mini's :P)

(mark seeming a wee bit relaxed during the first few runs.)

(an opel does a burnout towards the end of the run. too bad there weren't too many people intent on burning rubber..)

(the occasional roadkill of a pylon (i.e. cone).. stuck underneath the car.)

(severe vignette from zoom lens = perfect example of blackman callsign)

(apparently reverse gear was the main course for the day - whaleman manoeuvres his convertible with a nice rear view.)

(aaah! mini in action! too bad there weren't any examples of three-wheel drive :(

(mark describing his rites of passage to damien, greg + rich.)

(fat man with green flag acknowledges skinny man with other green flag to start off race between mark in not-so-green nissan and a quite green suzuki.)

(FWD all the way!)

(the same suzuki leaving some guailan smoke towards the time barriers)

(honda sedan locks front wheels. neat eh?)

(jai begins his run; rear suspension being utilised)

(switching of racing lanes. the hatches are open for better visibility while reversing, not for aerodynamic drag...)

(jai doing 70kph in the carpark. someone remind him that the race is over :P)

(photoshoppe pic of opel at the startline. original pic has some tyre smoke billowing from beneath..)

(... leading to another scenario illustrating the dangers of smoking + driving.)

(the competitors rehearse dance steps inbetween breaks..)

(drivers' eye view of an unclosed hatch)

(spot the pro photographer. pffft.)

(the competitors' greatest fear - a tennis ball - a bump earns them 5 seconds. or thereabouts. some nutcases were using these obstacles as targets..)

(tennis ball has close shave with a rubbery death)

(an event of a different species)

(looks like hungry ghosts have something else on their earthly agenda)

(best shot for the day. daihatsu reversing.. but could yer tell?)

(a modern-day jimmy clark wannabe! we should have more ballsy + bizarre drivers to promote motorsport in SG :)

that's all for today boys & girls. other half of this collection to follow, soon i hope. i have way too many pictures on my blog.

i-search beckons. tooth wound is beginning to leak again.

cheers :-\
