    crossing the border, 20th century style



    i remember the times where june and november were the most sacred of months for everyone, and how they were an excuse for teachers to pile us down with a load of homework. how i thought m'sian roads at night were such an adventure, how i had to be sitting on everyone's lap in an overloaded car because i had the skinniest of bums. how it was near impossible for me to leave JB without bubblegum and chewing gum stashed somewhere in the car.

    it somehow irks me that i don't enjoy going to the ancestral home anymore..
