stick and stones may break my bones but at least it doesn't end up in my eye. why do automotive things have to be so expensive? trying to make a career out of motorsport is such an economical risk. go karting was fun today - but how fun it could've gotten or will get, i'll never know. it's sickening to know that at an instant your life and its commitments could go topsy-turvy and you're only as good as the opportunities you give yourself. rags to riches? it only happens in the NBA, i guess. i can't for the life of me recall any successful race driver who started off dirt-poor and worked crappy PA jobs just to go the occasional trackday. if there's anything i could remove from my life for now, it'd be my stupid, senseless fascination in cars.
